Re: How to fix Jedi Survivor "Your Game Failed to Launch error" in EA app?

Confirmed a solution. I have determined that this problem is from either your EA credentials having an issue or an error with how the app is installed on your computer or both. For example, while accessing the EA through Steam, I first tried to sign in through google, which seemed to get the app stuck on this "something went wrong try again" error. What worked: google, EA app. Go to the EA result and download the app fo your OS. If you have already downloaded the EA through steam you will be given the option to repair the app. This should allow you to get on the app, however i for some reason needed to switch from my 5Ghz wifi to the 2.4Ghz band (idk why, probably not an issue for most people). From there you need to sign in with the correct credentials (it might fail you if you don't have a google account but try to sign in again. Once signed in to the app, go to the EA website and sign in to go to your settings and ink your steam account if it already is not. At this point, if you have successfully linked your steam account, and can get on to the EA using the same account, then you should be able to launch the game now.

TL:DR

1. Game can't lauch because EA app is having issue getting to your account/ linking with Steam

2. Download EA through EA website (google EA app) and repair your app

3. login to EA app with EA account.

4. Link Steam account through EA website.

5.Launch game.

@zombielicorice I personally have origin/ea (EA PLAY PRO) version. And i tried everything that was said in this entire thread but nothing worked.

  • Oh Gosh dudes. It's worked. So what i did the last:

    - Open Task Manager
    - Scroll through until you see EA background Service right click
    - Choose “Properties”.
    - On compatibility click “Run as administrator” then click apply.

    And finally it's worked!

    You can also try this:

    - Open up your search bar and type services
    - Scroll through until you see EA background Service right click
    - Choose “Properties”.
    - On Startup type use “Automatic” click apply.
    - Under Service status click start then ok.
    - Launch the game. I hope this helps someone

  • Tried this and still doesn't work. I've tried all the advice and still get "There is a problem with your game's setup. Please reinstall your game." This is ridiculous. I shouldn't have to be messing about to get a game to work.

  • Fnastastic job. After new update game stopped launching again. Are you for real?

  • @Moonbeat This actually worked for me, thank you! Also, this is officially the last EA game I'll ever purchase. One love.

@sheratonmoss Got the same issue with Crysis 3 since January when I was forced onto this horrible app. Game worked fine in Origin; EA app renders it unusable. I would mind less if EA refunded people for games they render unusable by their own incompetence, but no such option.
  • What just worked for me was Origin...I downloaded it, installed it and ran it. There's an immediate internal popup you get in origin and forces you to switch to EA. As weird as it may sound, I force quit Origin a few times, launched it again, trying to bypass that popup...no joy. Ended up clicking to migrate to EA (it was already installed), and it "ran and installed" the EA app, I was immediately able to launch the game and have been playing a few minutes. I dared to exit the game, and was amazingly still able to launch it again, this time from the Steam app.

  • Hi there,
    What worked for me:
Go in search bar( bottom right), search for EA app, right click>open file location> from the top- run as administrator  App Recovery and Clear Cache!
Hope it will help you ! Cheers!

Hi all - I originally purchased this game through Steam but the hand-off between Steam and EA was problematic. I tried everything suggested (admin mode, severing/reconnecting my Steam account, etc) and I just couldn't get the EA app not to crash after Steam triggered the open. The only thing that worked was getting a refund from Steam and buying the game through EA. If you have handoff issues, then getting the game from EA removes one place where launching the game can go wrong.

Separately, I got the game running a Mac Pro (32 Core Xeon, 384GB RAM, Radeon W5700X, Vega Pro II) on Windows 11 running Boot Camp. It definitely DOES NOT work with standard Apple Boot Camp drivers which are from April 2022. Fortunately someone amazing has created a non-authorized adaptation of the latest Adrenalin drivers for Apple Boot Camp (just search for it online). Once I did this, the game runs - and it runs incredibly well. Thanks for the advice here - for a lot of people these methods work, but for me, they didn't. Good luck!

This is what I've been getting until today. After following the tips, I repaired it for the umpteenth time and am now I'm getting "your game fail to launch, double-check your connection, or try again later."
