unable to launch the game from the EA App
having an issue getting the game to launch. the game was preloaded but when trying to launch it this morning the EA App minimizes like it's going to launch the game for about 10s then it reappears and the game doesn't launch. it doesn't give any error messages either for why it won't launch (bar one step below)
stuff I've tried to no avail to resolve this is the following
1. repairing the game: library>star wars jedi survivor>manage>repair>after repair finished reboot PC>attempt to launch.
2. EA App recovery: top-left menu>help>app recovery>after EA App closes and reopens rebooted PC> attempt to launch.
3. switched off VPN> tried to launch.
4. Disable antivirus> tied to launch.
5. tried to launch the game with admin permissions. - this one actually gave an error when trying to launch "Your game failed to launch, double-check your connection or try again later"
6. Uninstall both the game and EA App> reboot> reinstall both the EA app and game> attempt to launch.
7. tried 1-5 again after having reinstalled both the app and the game.
drivers are all up to date and my PC more than exceeds the requirements
win 10 pro
CPU:i7-13700K
GPU: RTX 4080
RAM: 64.0 GB
Is anyone else having this issue or have any other suggestions on how to get the game to actually launch?
First - check system requirements.
Try these steps:
- disable any vpn/proxy
- run cmd with Admin rights
- enter commands (copy-paste it):ECHO Y | CHKDSK C: /F /X DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /spsuperseded /hidesp DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup /ResetBase DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
- wait for the end and restart the PC
- disable any vpn/proxy
- run cmd with Admin rights
- enter a command:SFC /SCANNOW
- wait for the end and restart the PC
- install this with Admin rights:

- disable any screen capture, Internet video/audio capture software for testing
- disable any RGB hardware lightning software for testing
- try to launch the game
If these steps do not help try next:
- Disable "controlled folder access"

- If u have OneDrive software installed - disable it, if u do not use it - uninstall it.
- try to launch the game
If it did not help give me a _report_.txt file: in the command prompt (cmd) running with Admin rights enter commands then attach to a message _report_.txt file from the root folder of С:\ drive, then delete this fileMsinfo32 /report "C:\%COMPUTERNAME%_report_%date%.txt"
Also, try to find some games error/dump files in this dir and attach them too:
"C:\Users\<Your OS user name>\AppData\Local\SwGame"
"C:\Users\<Your OS user name>\Saved Games\Respawn\JediSurvivor"
"<Steam_folder>\steamapps\compatdata\1774580"
