support said all attempts are declined by issuing bank, this can occur if an issue is on the card or the details are not correct as examples
maybe chat to the bank if they see any issues
I spoke with the bank and they are saying that the site has not been complying with some EU rules and are now blocking all payments on it apparently?

flagging it with support for investigation, however if this was the case then paypal would have no issues using the card.
I do know debit cards can be rejected for subscriptions, as EA dont like debit cards
only other option apart from use a different payment method is to install via steam and purchase on steam, they are a totally different merchant see https://help.ea.com/au/help/star-wars/star-wars-the-old-republic/swtor-on-steam/
shouldnt but need to check pricing your self
be sure to install via steam and play a character for a minute and log out to be sure accounts are linked prior to purchasing
