Close the launcher, then reopen. After that it may have had a bad patch, you can try restarting your computer just in case or run a repair:
Non-Streaming launcher - Log into the launcher but don't click Play. Check for small letters "ST" in the bottom left corner. If this is NOT present, click the cog icon and then run the repair option.
Streaming launcher - If the letters "ST" is present, close the launcher, right mouse click on the game shortcut, select open file location and delete the BitRaider folder. Then start the launcher.

No sir you are fine, it just forces your Launcher to run a 'Repair' .. depending on computer specs 5-10 minutes .. unless its a mess then maybe an hour
(*If this is the case then it obviously needs it).
Really should try and get into the habit of explaining alittle more when you have an issue, as it is very much a blind turkey shoot when so little information is provided...
EG:
Is the Swtor.exe process visible in your task bar.. what errors show up in your launcher.log?.. what about your client_settings.cfg?.... Anything in your Swtor.exe(retail) Log?
Saves a lot of time... if you wish to know how much time.. call a mechanic about your car.. and let them know "It's not going... I sat in it.. and its not going".
I'm having the same problem. After re-installing, rebooting, and running a repair (by deleting the bitraider folder), it still doesn't work.
The Star Wars process appears in the task manager, my screen flickers to black, and then the process is gone. According to a Launcher Diagnostic, nothing untoward happened-- it asked the Launcher to open the file, closed itself. No errors. It's just... the file doesn't open.
A sample from the launcher diagnostic:
"2016-01-10 02:29:59 INFO User pressed play (retailclient,en-us,swtor)
2016-01-10 02:29:59 INFO Asking Bitraider to launch game client.
2016-01-10 02:29:59 INFO BitRaider_LaunchGame::DoInvoke: Requesting BitRaider play.
2016-01-10 02:29:59 INFO Game successfully launched: E:\ProgramFiles\Star Wars-The Old Republic\swtor\RetailClient\swtor.exe
2016-01-10 02:29:59 INFO Closed launcher"
Interesting, but likely unrelated note, the launcher links to Patch Notes 3.3.2.....given that the current version is 4.0.3, and all the scrolling pictures are of the current releases....that may be something. It may be nothing.
EDIT: Aaaaaand this EA board isn't letting me attach the said Diagnostic fileI had not. Thank you so much. That fixed my problem. (I have two monitors, and the game/computer decided to force it into a resolution to cover both monitors)
i deleted the bitraider file and let it run the repair but ST is still there and the game isint running

Hi,
I tried turning of the real-time scanning from McAfee and the game started. Not sure if that fixed it or it was just a coincidence, but worth a try.
Thanks this works for me.
