Server Changing

I've just started playing SWTOR, and I'm several hours in. For some reason, the game placed me in the Tulak Hord server, which is in German. I wasn't aware this was the case until just now, and I wasn't given an option to select a server originally. Is there a way to have my character (Level 7) moved to an English server? I checked the support site and it's going to cost me 1000 Cartel Coins to do it myself, which is a ridiculously high price that I don't have and can't afford.
