Basically the launcher wont open anymore and comes up with no error. Ive tried ending it in task manager, adding firewall rules, reinstalling the game, using the launcher repair utility, (LauncherRepairUtilityD2.0.1), the launcher works in windows safe mode with networking but past logging in it doesn't download the game. The real issue is it doesn't work in normal windows mode like it doesn't boot up at all but if I could AT LEAST solve the issue of getting it to show the interface on normal windows boot after double clicking the icon that would solve my problem.Any ideas to get it to boot the interface on normal startup of windows?Ive read a ton of other help related issues on the launcher none of them worked most would advise the firewall or the launcher fix utility (LauncherRepairUtilityD2.0.1) they didn't work so I started my own post to see if I could get help personally. A clean install of windows might fix this but I want to see if I could fix it without going through the hassle of reinstalling everything on my computer so if anyone has any solutions besides a clean install of windows that u know could work that I haven't tried don't be afraid to post here and tell me!🙂

ok problem again i tried windows defender firewall it worked for 1 playthrough but as soon as i restart the game or computer it stops working again. then when i try forwarding my ports it works but when i restart teh game or computer it stops working again. any ideas how to keep it working consistently even when launching the launcher 1 time. after forwarding ports. it works 1 time. then closing it, opening it again, it doenst work! any ideas?

I gathered you have tried a clean boot per this link

If you get to the point of a new windows install then an inplace repair per this link maybe be worth trying first as you should only lose windows updates

@JaguarXJR15 What's your network setup like? Sometimes having a VPN or Proxy can stop the launcher from starting properly, for some reason.

If you to Internet Options from the Control Panel and then the Connections tab, here's what a regular home broadband connection would look like:

I tried everything from the 2 posts thus far they didnt work. basically the GUI of the launcher doesnt open on normal windows boot (doesnt report any errors either, even after restart, of computer and reinstall of the game). but the interface/GUI ONLY works in safe mode with networking. thats my problem. dxdiag below

I gather if you create a new windows administrator account and try and start the launcher in that user profile there is no change ?

Very hard with no error messages and if you have checked the likely stuff of firewall / AV etc and a separate profile, it could be C++ installs which you could try uninstalling / repairing

other then that given the amount of time has passed it may be worth just trying the repair install I linked at the start given all it should affect is windows updates

I tried repairing C++ and the other stuff u mentioned still a spinning load circle after double clicking icon and same thing even after reinstalling the whole game from scratch. these things should fix problems like this. this launcher is bloatware they need to redesign it to be honest. thank you for the help thus far. Let me know if u have any other ideas for fixing this besides resetting entire PC to factory default.

So you tried the in-place windows repair as linked in my very first post that avoids losing anything except windows updates ?

The launcher is based on the chromium framework and is basically very similar to a web browser , antivirus settings and programs (popup blockers etc) that affect web browsing can affect the launcher

so saying that have you tried opening a command prompt and doing the below commands ?

1.To open a command prompt, click Start and then type CMD in the Search programs and files.
2.Right-click CMD.exe icon and choose Run as administrator.
3.When the User Account Control box pop up, click Yes.
4.At the command prompt, copy and paste (or type) the following command and then press ENTER:
netsh winsock reset catalog
5. At the command prompt, copy and paste (or type) the following command and then press ENTER:
netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt

Can also try the following in the command prompt as administrator as well

Netsh winhttp import proxy source=ie or netsh winhttp reset proxy

Yes I tried the windows repair it did not work did that today.I also tried the commands below too still no go launcher GUI doesn't open outside of safemode. Any more ideas?
