No pre-load for this game anymore?

I received an e-mail today from EA saying "The game you pre-ordered is now available to pre-load. Head over to your collection in the EA app to download and install now. That way, you can start playing the second it launches." Reports on-line are saying it's pre-loadable on Steam, PlayStation, and XBox, but it would seem not so for those of us who purchased through the EA App? 🤔 Odd.

I have the same issue. I purchased through EA app, got the email earlier today saying I could preload it, but when I go to the EA app it says: "Deluxe Edition pre-ordered. Available soon. You'll be able to download and start playing the game on Aug 27, 2026 at 11:00 AM" and the Download button is greyed-out.

I did restart the app, and did App Recovery as well but it didn't resolve the issue. I assumed maybe it was just a little delayed but it's been all day and others are reporting they have downloaded it.

Uninstalling the EA App then reinstalling it did not resolve the issue either.  :(

I chatted with a helpful EA support person who verified she is also unable to see the preload option on her end in the EA App. She is sending this up to the game folks...

Same here. Download option is greyed out in the EA App. I wish I could say that I was surprised this was happening, but I'll be adding this to my stack of other EA issues they have never acknowledged or cared about. I keep trying to purchase EA games on their own app so they don't lose money to other game distribution services, but between this and all the issues with Battlefield they have never helped me with, I'll probably be using Steam moving forward. Ignoring their customers is a terrible way of doing business and not a good look.
