2018: some dark side love please?

My only gripe is crystal price....Shore and death trooper are great toons for empire or troopers....still 80 crystals a shard. Legendaries are even at 3 toons vs 2 toons and 1 ship. Capital ships favor DS.

I don't even agree that the best 2 characters in game are CLS and RJT.

Yeah, LS as a whole, and Rebels more specifically have been at the top for awhile; and considering they are the "heroes" for 90% of SW media, I don't expect that to ever truly change.

I'd be willing to bet my house that we'll get a Bounty Hunter and Seperatist rework/new characters before summer though.

I agree DS has better capital ships but ships arena doesn't payout crystals after rank 20, so I'd say it's not really comparing like with like.

This I can get behind 100%. There is no reason Shore and DT should be at premium crystal rate still, except they are a pain to farm.

Are you disputing that LS gave predominantly better characters? Where is the DS equivalent or counter to R2 or Raid Han for example?

Thrawn and Nihilus are excellent characters, no doubt. But I don't see the latter being the current meta and he was released in what, March of last year? Arguably there has been 2 meta DS character releases in the last 9 months. Thrawn and Talzin - and NS are easily countered.

I'm just saying that you weaken your own point by ignoring the DS characters. When you say "OMG only LS can ignore taunt!?!?!?" and that's false, you look silly.

Nihilus is part of the predominant GK/Zarriss team. Saying NS are easily countered is pretty meaningless. They are hard for many current meta teams to beat. There are teams that beat them easily but most people don't have those teams built up. In the same way that NS is a team that easily beats CLS (and was specifically designed to do so, per INRAJ), but most people don't have NS built.

And when was the last time you saw Boba in high end arena? CLS and Raid Han are everywhere.

Boba was there for a while. Raid Han was never there before his rework. How long did we deal with the ridiculousness of Zaul?

Zaul was meta for about 3 months. R2 killed it stone dead and R2 has been meta for much longer.

My original point was to illustrate that nearly all the meta characters are light side. That's wasn't to say DS didn't have a small number of top tier characters but overwhelmingly the OP characters are LS. You choose to present my argument in a way that it wasn't intended but thanks for saying I've been made to look silly - ad hominem.

DT is an excellent character but he cannot stealth, cleanse, counter. I'm not aware that any of your "counters" guarantee going first like Raid Han.

Never said they could do the same things that r2 and RHan do, but they are direct DS characters that counter the strengths of those 2.
