Anyone know what caused this glitch and therefore how to avoid it in future?

I had a tough opponent in a GAC Ships so I used the Raddus first and used the Holdo Maneuver to take out the Capital Ship then went into a much easier second fight against the remaining enemy fighters...

In their effort to prep the game for fat Jabba and how much space he's going to require on the screen, they've created an entire new level of bug problems. Now you can enjoy both your combat buttons AND your opponents disappearing!!!
