Argument for bonus rewards based on damage

I would like to forward an interesting reading about why rewards should have bonus gear based on damaged dealt more than ranking.

TL;DR: most players accept unfair equality. A players who carry his guild by doing 12M damage in Sith raid should receive more rewards than someone who does 0. But a players who deal 11.9M damage in the same raid should receive equivalent rewards and not a full box less. This also applies Tor Rancor who everyone who solos it should receive an additional box.
  • So, at least we agree, that in team sports all team members are rewarded the same prize for winning a tournament. Now, you just need to explain your point, since you previously argued, that differences in prizes for beating a raid should be larger than currently. Please explain your logic behind your example.
  • Players who score goals are rewarded more and have more compensation (look at soccer).

Yes, they are payed more by their clubs/employers. Their prizes for winning a tournament/championship are the exact same as everyone else on the team. The FA/FIFA give them all the same type of medal.

Again: If you want a raise, ask your guild to chip in. The distribution of rewards for finishing a raid are fine.
