Blue damage numbers

When toon does critical damage, the number is yellow.
When they do normal damage, the number is red.
But what does blue number means?

    I'm pretty sure special damage uses resistance to determine the damage dealt instead of armor

    look at the stats of a character, there's a separate paragraph for special damage.

    Just different stats. Have to look at each characters ability to see what type of damage each attack does

    Also white numbers is unmitigated (ignores armor/resistance) damage.
