Blueprint Collecting

Let's face it, this is pretty bad.

It's fine if you don't care what ships you get. There are plenty of blueprints available every day in Guild War Shipments and Fleet Shipments. But when challenges are critical to the play of the rest of the game there should be a relatively consistent way to build to those requirements.

I'm talking dark side ships. In order to attempt the zeta challenge I need 5 4* dark side ships. Putting aside the fact that they don't really tell you this until you've unlocked all of the challenges up to the one you require, once you're aware of that fact they don't provide a consistent way for you to build those ships.

I have all of the Geonosian Soldier blueprints I need. I have a sufficiently power Sun Fac ship, even. I was on the lookout for Slave One blueprints since day one, so I finally have that. But now that I know I need the two tie fighters, too, they are nowhere to be found. Using multiple GW crystal refreshes a day I see about 1 selection every two or three days in GW. They show up, maybe, once a day in fleet shipments; I fear for the day when I have one tie fighter ship and I need to wait for the other to eventually, someday, show up in the fleet shipments.

This is kind of ridiculous. Not only does this limit your ability to play competitively in the fleet arena, since you can't build up a needed ship for your strategy, but it cripples competitive play in the rest of the game because it's a flat requirement for the zeta challenges. (And I'm not even complaining about the stupid tournaments for Darth Vader's ship.)
  • +1 on this! Our guild is solely focusing on Heroic tank teams and while it is my fault that I waited so long to peruse dark side ships, there are so few ships and tons of light side to choose from. Do I really want to put heroic teams to the side just so I can farm characters for darkside ships that I'll never use? I'm to the point now where I would rather just buy the zeta rather than wasting time on toons that I'll never use after the Executtrix challenge.
  • +1 We need to have some of the functions we have with our character shards and building them. There should be quests that we can run on our ships on regularly to get shards for the ships we want to build up. It's a big downer when you invest in a pack to get a ship, but then you see no release of the ship in shipments or the development of guests like the dark and light side for characters so we can be competitive with those that spend ungodly amounts of money on packs just to have the item instantly maxed out for their egos, but the rest that play and enjoy the building and fair competition are left holding crap cards in a stacked deck.

Give the players more ways to get ships.
