I think he should have synergy with chewy. Remember it was chewy who gathered his bolts back together and slung him over his back in the empire strikes back.
It should be something like,
When critically hit, if Chewbacca is present, he restores all protection on Chewbacca and he taunts for two turns, Chewbacca also receives offense up and critical chance up for two turns.
