Character Ideas

This game is quite enjoyable but with so many great characters in Star Wars I can understand why some haven't made it into the game yet. I do have a few ideas I want to voice though. Having just finished Dark Disciple I thought having a new version of Asajj Ventress with a yellow saber that has synergy with Quinlin Vos would be awesome. This brought my attention to the fact that there is already a Asajj Ventress, and also how there are multiples of characters (Obi-Wan/ Old Ben, Anakin/Vader etc) Which in my opinion is a little strange as you can have two Bens together. Wouldn't it be better to have multiple versions of a character under the one? You would select, say Obi-Wan, and you would be prompted to choose a version like General Kenobi, Padawan Kenobi,or Old Ben obviously having to upgrade each separately. This would bring and interesting ability for having characters that could do both light and dark side battles like Anakin or Vader, as well as some like Bariss turning to the dark side or Ventless turning good. I believe this would bring some order to the characters and open up new possibilities.
I know there is definitely some balancing and testing involved when making new characters but I would really like to see new ones,including Quinlan and perhaps a new Ahsoka with them sweet white sabers, and might as well bring along the grand inquisitor.
To you more experienced players, I have been playing for about a month or so. How often do new characters release? Besides obvious releases for movie installments like Rogue One?
