CG wasn't prepared for the increased staffing needs to research all the reports.
Apparently they were. They advertised for an 'anti-cheat' position. It seems to have been ineffective though.
@OP in game support is a worse problem than the cheats. No chance of any help there.
They were saying that before GAC was changed to include crystals. There was definitely an increase in cheating in GAC after the change. They were even advertising positions to be part of that team? But that was after GAC was already changed as I recall. A year ago I got a response about looking into one, but it seems no one's been getting responses at all for a while now.
They can call it a priority all they want. If they don't commit resources to it and take action against cheaters, then it's not a priority.
Ask yourself this. Do you know of anyone who was given recompense for losing in GAC because of a cheater? In Kyber 1 that's 700 crystals difference per battle. If the cheater got 1st, that's crystals and rewards seven other players should be getting for the difference in final results they should get as well. (including more crystals)
I don't know of anyone, nor have I heard of anyone receiving that. If there are, I'd love to see them post about it, especially with a screenshot.
