I truly can’t comprehend how you are going through with this idea except for one of 3 scenarios.
1. You’ve lost touch on the player base and what is wanted from the game.
2. You don’t play, and therefore unaware of what the playerbase wants.
3. Your management is toxic and any subordinates who challenges their delusional ideas are met with consequences at the work place.
Any one of those 3 is cause for termination imo.
