It may give an indication of experience in a similar game mode - perhaps also how much focus the player had on TW.
I think correlating a group effort vs an individual effort would be difficult. There are many guilds that do not really participate in TW short of setting defenses. That does not necessarily that individual players in that guild do not like arena etc....
