I have almost 200 mil credits. I upgrade every five dot mod at least enough to see if it has speed. (Except for non speed arrows. I have speed arrows on most characters I use and plenty of non speed arrows already). I buy mods that will be good but they really don't show up all that often. But I'm choosy. Has to be at least blue (more likely purple or gold), have a primary that agrees with the set (ex offense mod with offense or crit damage), speed of 4 or 5 showing, and other secondaies that go with the primary and set.
That way even if speed doesn't roll, I have a decent mod. Sure you can buy anything with speed but you end up spending a crap ton of credits for several +5 or +10 speed mods with subpar stats other than speed.
Same goes for leveling up characters to 85. I have all the characters i use at level 85 and I level new ones to 85 when I unlock them but there are several legacy characters, i have no intention of taking to level 85 anytime soon. I don't have the resources to gear them anyway so there is little point and they aren't game changing anyway. But if they get a rework, I have the credits to level them if needed.
