Ive noticed if you drop him with an assist (Ahsoka) as the "final" blow he doesn't counter I.e. if the primary attack takes his last protection he counters after the assist, but if the assist takes the last protection he doesn't. Kind of puts a interesting spanner in the "turn hasn't finished so its WAI" debate.
