Empire/sith Viable?

What speed and gear level do empire/sith need to be at to be viable? Every time I attempt to switch off my rebels and make an empire/sith team I get crushed in arena and I run back to wedge, Biggs, lando, baze...

I have maul, Vader, shore, dooku, sideous etc all gear 9

I'm missing palpatine but will have him 7* after the upcoming event.

My nihilus is gear 8 and 5*

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

  • Zader and zaul are both viable.

    Kinda need to make a choice and work it up to max.

    Zader team tfp or speedy sid are key to get the jump and remove some tm.

    Zaul needs less speed to get the jump.

    The general idea seems to be zaul is the choice for arena, but I have more trouble against zader then I do against zaul. But it's really about who will have a more reliable win on offence.

    As for gear and mods that's really shard specific. My shard, around 250 speed will do just fine.

    I'm not quite at zeta level yet, I'm able to hold around top 130 in my arena and I'm a level 79, wiggs, lando, baze and shore do the trick although it's an old shard and top 300 are all level 85, I think my rebels are performing above their weight class.

    My shore is 7* though and a beast, could a team like this work without a zeta?

  • Depends on your shard. Give maul a zeta and he helps boost your turn for to go first. Generally I don't try a toon until they're g10

    Your want palp lead if you're waiting to zeta Vader, if not then I'd go Sidious or even (god forbid) Dooku. Possibly Maul even but not Vader.
  • EP (L), Vader, Sid, TFP, RG. I am still building up Shore, but with this current team even with gear 9 you should still manage to be in the top100.
