Endor Escalation Mythic Tier Rewards

Are your rewards based off the number of stars you receive? I lost Old Ben and didn't think to restart it so I finished with 2 stars. What I received is fairly underwhelming compared to the possible rewards:


Why are old Ewok shards a reward? You need those at 7* just to get into Tier 1 of the event.

    Who said it was free? Most everyone who has Leia today spent some amount.


    And all but a negligible number of them did so before this was a thing.
