As a huge fan of this game who actually has a life (which I assume most of us do) I cannot stand the concept of the Flash Events. Having an event that lasts only an hour has to be one of the worst ideas I have ever heard of. When playing the game gets in the way of life, people will start to quit. I don't want to be required to play the game for 10 minutes just because you say that between 8-9 pm I have to do something.And I for sure can't stop in the middle of work to try and do an event that lasts more than a couple seconds (in other words please do not compare these to the log in rewards at noon, six and nine (or one, 7 and 10 in DST) and last 2 hours, I can turn the game on for a second collect the reward and then actually play at some other time when I am not at my job). Your point is fair. FYI for this event you can reliably auto Tier 3 if you put it on basic only. So shouldn't take much real time.

For me, they definitely didn't add anything positive to my experience.

Many people are missing them when it is not there choice.The other window events (the daily energy awards) happen every day at the exact same time and only take a second to obtain the reward.These flash events pop up randomly, not sure what days or what times they are and they are not click a button rewards. You actually have to play an event which takes several minutes. So if you are busy at all you lose out.

They're fine...they provide something different than the daily tasks and fills time when you are out of energy and waiting for refreshes. I missed most of them the first couple times and it wasn't a big deal. The really good prize are for the first victories anyways and the rest of the battles are gear collecting.

The Flash events are not random, there is a post detailing the days they are set to appear as well as another post detailing the times. I can't remember where I saw the post about the times, but if I remember the times were 10 am, 2 pm, 4 pm, and 9 pm. I may be wrong about the times they are set to appear, but I know for sure that it's not random.
