Galactic War - Game Balance

I feel that there is a problem in the game with the balance between protection and health. I'm not even sure what protection actually is and why every character should have it, as there are at best a minimal amount of personal shields in the Star Wars universe. (Droideka's, yes, but definitely not people)
I would be happy if this mechanic was revised entirely, which would alleviate this problem greatly.

How is Baze Stronger than Vader?
If this game was canon, 2 people with grenades could kill a AAT and not 5+ Squads throwing themselves into a grinder

Level, Gear and Mod your toons. Like everyone else does and stop complaining.

The problem is power does not reflect the actual strength of the character. It should. Speed should contribute a lot to power since this determines victory. Special abilities, omegas, and zetas should contribute to power.

Firstly, you are judged by power. There are many threads explaining this. Even some with data to back it up. The last node is I believe 120% over you GW rating. The GW rating is the power of you top 5 toons (I think that was the last data set I saw), it's hard to tell due to the fact that your arena team and top 5 toons are pretty close in power.

Secondly, it has been stated by the devs that GW is meant to test a deep roster, from the sounds of your complaint you are expecting to walk through all 12 with 1 team. There are teams that can do this, but not every team can.

Third, we have all been there and it's a hump that frustrates many players. Develop a deep roster and develop toons that will help you with this. Ask for help, we all know your pain.

I had my first failure at GW in months yesterday.

Came up against;

Kenobi lead, Zeta Barris, Zeta Yoda, Zeta Fives and a maxed out Anakin......


Would give up the game if I ran into that team every day....Have a fairly strong squad but could not even kill one of them!

I ran into zader(L) , Zariss, shore trooper, baze, chirrut ^_^ only had an hour to try so couldn't get them but normally it's pretty standard difficulty, preload TM for jroids, zader team, old ben team, rebels and another team, half of my GW I am changing toons and then for the last nodes, I play with chances, sometimes destroy jroids, sometimes a lower team.
I went through the same struggle than you did when I hit 85, as I completed my second team it was a bit easier, by now with 5 teams it's very hard that I can't get by my GW

I don't mind when node 11 is difficult, that's to be expected. But when node 6,9, and 11 all feature maxed out zeta teams, only the biggest of whales can compete. So now what? Galaxy wars aren't even for the rest of us to win at?

The so called power creep with new characters is a pain in the rear. But, hey if the devs didn't make them so powerful and had balance more in mind then people wouldn't be buying them. This is why I usually prefer games that have monthly set fees instead of freemium ones, cause balance tends to be much better.

I had the first Galactic War I couldn't complete in quite some time today. My 9th node was Boba (L), Cheirut, Baze, Palpatine, and Kenobi. Baze was 4*, Cheirut 3, and Kenobi 6*. I then had Kenobi on the 10, 11th, and 12th node. My 11th node was a crazy zeta maul team. I only have a 46k droid team as my arena. Managed to get to the 12th node, and didn't even try it since I lost my top 3 teams already.

Then I restarted and completed my galactic war without losing a single character. 12th node was Vader (L), Nightsister Initiate, Barris, Chewie, Old Ben. Only Vader had a zeta.

Just luck of the draw I guess, but the new characters are ruining the balance, because of how strong they are even at 3 or 4*. That lowers their power level as well so they show up a lot in Galactic War earlier than expected.
