Game won't stay open in background, reloads every time I go back to home screen

Try closing other apps you don't need to be open all at the same time, also make sure to have enough drive space as most mobile devices use it as a temporary memory. Having many apps open and low drive space cause large hardware driven apps to reload as their behind the scenes data can't be kept active all the time.
