What metric is CG using for deciding prices for LSB and other materials? The value is most definitely off for your average person living on a budget. It feels like if they lowered the prices on many of these they would get more buyers. For example. $50 for the inquisitors. I’m sorry… they are simply not worth that. If I am spending that kind of money I am getting KCD2 and/or Avowed. (RPG and PoE fan.) That is nearly a new game price. For characters that are limited in use. Yes, they have a good ceiling but you are not getting the characters that give them that ceiling. If you argue the kyrotech is the value then I have to ask based on what metric? The one they created themselves? The gear is overpriced too. People who do not have the means to pay will just farm it. The only argument I can see is the fact that the prices are for those saving time. Is it worth the price of new games? For those whom are against the LSB’s or say farming is dead I have to retort with this. How else do newer players get characters up fast enough to do anything in a game this old? Without them they would perpetually be locked out of new content. Or guilds capable of doing new content because of a lack of power or units. I can see a team like the inquisitors being worth $25. Like some of the BH packs. Not $50 though. That just feels insulting. Maybe have a set unit price in packs that will lower the price if you already have a unit in the pack. Example. The Kenobi pack that has the negotiator. I already have every unit. Only missing the negotiator. I am not paying $50 for that pack and especially for just the cap ship.

I still don’t see the value though. They create a problem. Then sell you the solution. Again, I absolutely see this as good starter pack to get better units. I would pay $25 USD for it. The thing is that these units are worthless without GI and Reva. Regardless of kyro that leaves the pack as rather worthless. Even with GI it is still a limited value. You need the Zetas and the Omnis to make these units useful. They don’t even have the relic required to try Reva. When they do the same thing with the old Bad Batch it will be the same problem. They really need to reevaluate their pricing. While some will buy it they would get more people and more money if they marketed it better. I have a yearly gaming budget. I look at those packs and then the games coming out and tell myself, simply not worth it.

I for one was excited for this LSB, but I'm not willing to pay that much.

"Cheap" and "expensive" are subjective. You say 50$ is expensive and 25$ will be ok. You can buy a full game in the most famous PC online retailer for less than that, but you think is ok just for a team in this one. From certain point of view, every single thing in this game is insanely expensive, and has always been. But if you have the money and you like the game, maybe 50$ is ok for a team like inquisitors.

Inqs are like 2000 kyro. Obviously that's a bottleneck CG has implemented but its a bottleneck that generates demand for the item for people that wish to spend the money. The bundle itself saves you like 3 months of grinding.

The metric is what they know they can get. LSB are approaching newer characters with more expensive gear. These have similar pricing to SK and Aphra which sold. Also not GL’s and also required you to get SK and Aphra from events and put in relevant zetas. Nothing too surprising with the price as far as I am concerned even if we all desire prices to be cheaper. Nothing in game has any real life monitory value so it’s all selling for what players are “willing” to spend. This is something they can easily monitor.

The console games I have purchase in last year are much higher getting to £70-90. They often occupy me for 30-40 hours or require additional season passes for extra. I have played SWGOH for an hour a day at least for 5-6 years. I have dropped in hundreds by now but I still think that works out cheaper than other games per hr of game play. I pick and choose what value something has for me. For a new player or returning player, this would be amazing value if you could get into a guild doing 20-30 Reva shards. If not GI leader is not too bad took me a year to get Reva after unlocking GI and I made use of the squad in the mean time.

Ultimately if it’s too expensive for you and you think it’s not worth the price don’t purchase. But I do believe plenty will purchase.
