Getting Thrawn without Hera

If you don't spend the cantina energy (only 8 per sim!), you will spend orders more farming/buying the gear to get the other 5 Phoenix geared to G10 or higher. This is kind of a no-brainer

It doable but you going to need high gear level. Don't expect g8, g9 to cut it without hera

The issue is that the event is not so easy that a max gear Ezra or Sabine can just kill the big threats before they do damage. It's a brutal event with multiple taunts protecting very fast, high damage, self regenerating enemies.

Hera allows the VERY, VERY powerful regenerative powers of some Phoenix members to keep Ezra alive long enough to make a dent. He didn't do enough damage for me at gear 10 with 216% crit damage/+100 speed arena mods to even dent anybody before I lost a toon UNTIL.... I put omegas on the other character's uniques to keep everyone alive.

With Hera lead, a gear 10 Ezra, all others gear 8, and all my arena mods on them (+90 to +120 on every toon) it took several dozen tries to get the RNG to cooperate. Hera was by far the most important member of the team.

Thanks for the responses everyone. Appears Hera is a must. Will move on to farming her when Ezra is done. Never gonna get Kylo unlocked haha.

Not wanting to use or invest in Hera for phoenix squad is the dumbest thing I have ever heard....She is invaluable to PS and with her, PS is alot of fun to use for PvE like GW. She is on a node that cost only 8 making pretty easy to get her to 7 star especially if you opted to farm her on when double drops were on. I was easily able to get her and Ezra to 7 star during double drops

I accidentally did a battle once during the event using sabine as the lead instead of Hera ... the difference was noticeable. Also, I never saw anyone do the event without her as the lead .. at least not among the people I know here in the game

I think a lot of people are merely interested in unlocking Thrawn and want to allocate the minimum possible resources to obtain him so they can continue working on their other projects. There will be some angst if people focus on Hera/Ezra and Ewoks only to discover Thrawn won't return for a long time, Ewoks are needed for a journey anytime soon, and FO or Resistance factions are needed to unlock a special new character. Any of those multiple options require months to obtain without double drops, and except during the Thrawn event I don't imagine many will prioritize Hera if double drops return.

You are correct sir, don't think I will use the squad much after.

I did the same as Hera is not my most powerful Phoenix toon. Seems silly Shen doesn't automatically get put in the lead.

Anyways, Phoenix is atrociously bad wither leader ability.

It would be cool if the eventually got a rework so that Phoenix Squadron worked more like the Imperial Troopers and didn't require a lead to share their uniques.

I'm on the same boat with u.. never heard anyone do it, if it's success i think i'll be the first one. I don't wanna spend my cantina energy to bad chars, and i already lose patience bcause the drop rate. I stop on Hera, i decided to go with chopper.

All g9, equip with my arena mod should be fine.

My only wish is Phoenix squad done just for Thrawn. Plz don't make them available in other area, like TB, or something. :expressionless:

Of course they'll be needed for TB. Every character in your roster matters now
