Ground vehicles

Just hear me out before everyone starts saying No. BUT, I think this can add another level of gameplay to the game and one that isn't that bad. Star Wars is known for iconic vehicles and I would really like to see some of them make way. Now this could be integrated in 2 ways: 1st and the lesser, every squad can have a support vehicle like a capital ship to a fleet, or 2 they could have there own battles, I was thinking like a 4v4 type of battle just to mix it up and vehicles the only vehicles I can think of are, AT-AT, AT- defender from rebels, AT-ST, speeder bikes, clone turbo tank, troop transport tank from rebels. Lemme know what you guys think
  • It'd be doable - even on the level of AT-AT/clone AT-TE - you have a "Big spot" a "Medium spot" and 3 "small spots" and have to fill accordingly. Camera zooms as necessary.

    And instead of tying a toon to a vehicle - tie a faction - so you can fill it with your best of.

    Ultimate I'm looking for a better tie - where you fight with 5 ground toons but also bring in air and ground support and can open up combat a little. The stodgy set piece design of 5 on 5 is old and tired.

  • The difference between ships and ground vehicles is that, people don't have their own. Yes you could make a few connections but no iconic characters have a specific ground vehicle that they would be known for.

    In another post someone brought up having iconic toons take up more positions in arena and making them more powerful, these ideas could be combined but these vehicles would have to be 2-3x harder to build and gear....not sure anyone would want that.

    That last bit is a lot, both alot to ask for, and alot for this game.. 2 more classes of vehicles and combining "infantry" and ships in one battle.. I just don't see how this would tie together, work fluently and be obtainable(comparatively speaking) with 3 raids, TB, TW, the mod and gear grind, soon to come ship hardware and more ships
  • How about this - they add the vehicles in as a support to the ground battles we already have. It could have a similar mechanic to the At-At or Orbital Bombardment from the TB's or the capital ship from ship battles. You can choose one vehicle per battle and they each behave differently.
    At-Ats are slow, devastating AOE attacks.
    Speeder bikes are fast, single target attacks.
    Sandcrawler has no attacks but gives bonuses to droids and jawas.
    Sand barge gives bonuses to scoundrels.
    Snow speeder has innaccurate AOE or heavy damage to a single target.

    You could have to collect shards and level them just like characters. It could work!
