Sadly this is the way the game has been heading if you think about the previous events:

Pheonix squad needed for Thrawn. Old Ben needed for CSL now Hoth Soldier and Scout for TB.

All my hoarded resources are getting stuck used on mediocre toons instead of being used on more viable toons. I'm not too pleased in the direction this game has been heading lately.

I recommend watching the videos posted today. It's mostly special missions that require specific toons but I think there are a couple combat missions that do too.

Depends on where you are in the game I guess. Simming that one extra node a day is an agonizing task. My index finger hurts just thinking about it.

Intelligent sarcasm there. I'm busy farming gear for useful toons. Some of us don't drop cash for gear...

I was 3/5 today on Soldier. That compares to 3/20 Mon-Thurs.

I hope that they've eased the drop rates on Soldier.

In comparison, farming Lobot is about 50% drop rate from my observations this week.

Today, I fought five battles, paid 50 crystals to refresh, and fought five more. I didn't get any soldier shards.

They had packs with him and rebels in the store for a while. And not every hero should be in a shipments necessarily; some novelty/exclusivity is a good thing. They did raise the number of times you can hit hard nodes without refreshing from 3 up to 5 times. That has helped.

Thrawn who? CLS who? HOTH REBEL SOLDIER and REBEL SCOUT are needed to get ROLO....hurry everyone! Spend crystals and refresh refresh refresh!!!!!

Yep....headed in that direction for sure. Any time something new is added lately, majority of threads become a strategy on how to obtain useless characters to unlock new meta characters. Fun.

I guess it's time to spend tjose 750k ally points and hope to get 10 or maybe 20 HRS shards.
