There has got to be some exclusivity for whales to keep the game afloat.
You mean like Baze, general grievous (before he was added to the ship store), Commander Luke Skywalker, Thrawn? The list can go on and on. And a F2P game can not survive solely on people who spend money alone. At some point those people will start to leave and the game will loose traction.- It will take much more than 50$ to get both veterans to 7*. It will take hundreds. That makes the character for whales, not dolphins. Spend your money on whatever intangible video game items you’d like. No judgement.

Your first sentence is rubbish, I’m F2P and I unlocked CLS first time, his required toons came from easily farmable locations. Thrawn had double drops, on easily farmable nodes, I just missed out first time because I was a bit green then. Grievous up till now has been one of the worst characters in game and if you wanted to farm him up that’s entirely your poor choice. Baze has had a single hard node for as long as I can remember and as one of the best toons that’s hardly surprising...
You’re last sentence is absolutely spot on, I agree. But if they gave us Rey2.0 that needed the Old Timers as required toons, and they dropped them on a single hard node & high Cantina node it would NOT break with what has happened before now and I’d have no problem with it.
The problem with the user base that are active on this forum is that they seem to feel a sense of entitlement because they are a “long term player”. The reality is that you manage your in game resources(crystals, store currency) and your external resources(money and your intent to spend it) and then you make short and long term farming plans based on that management.
I wish you the best of luck on unlocking what may or may not be coming!- I don’t quite know how I managed to mess that up but the above post is my own thoughts on your thoughts of my thoughts
