IG100 in a competitive droid team ?

Hi everyone, I am running a maxed droid team (HK leader, 88, JE,86 and B2) and I cant decide if I should replace 86 for 100. I think IG100 is underrated and he can benefit the HK leader ability, but in the other hand 86 has a very high burst power..

I have both of them maxed, can you tell me with one should be better for me?

thx

  • Most of the times ig-100 performs a little better, but not against all opponents
  • If you're gonna swap out anyone on that team for 100, it should be 86. 88 is an incredibly powerful toon if you get a good amount of debuffs going, and 100 can help with that a lot.

IG-100 does have a couple issues though. His counter chance isn't all that great, and neither is his crit-chance.
  • HK, 88, JE are the core of my droid team. Then I add two more: 86/100/K2/B2/Nebit depending on who I face. I hardly use 100 in Arena anymore, but I still love him. I use him in GW, The Pit P1 (because I hate Teebo's bugged performance), Tournaments and the occasional Event.
The best way to use him is if there are some Jedi in the other team or if you face multiple DPS toons you cannot kill fast enough with 88/86, so you can use 100 to put offense down on the slowest and kill the others, and use his special to get an extra 88 shot in. So, to answer the question if he's better for you: he can be, he has use in particular situations.
But, K2 does most of what he does a little better, so I find myself using IG-100 much less these days.
  • Depending on how you order them I use 86 as 3rd to strike down someone after 88 comes through.

But yes I would sub 100s for 86 if I had him ready. He fits better because he will get all his buffs when you je and aoe that's his 2 turns.
  • I would have a hard time replacing 86 with 100 against, say, Wiggs. Gotta get Wedge downed on that first wave. But against other combinations where there isn't someone you MUST take out in the first wave, it could work.
  • If you have k2 use him. Works well when facing wiggs or emperor Palpatine lead. The taunt helps as well. Also higher offence down chance on basic and daze is better then 100s turn meter reduction chance. His counter chance is going to be lower than 100s the majority of the time though. Because of the amount of debuff teams around.
  • I fought a team with 100 and once he tore it up - but mostly he's fluffy. I think he's just too random for use all the time.
  • Your advices are interessting, but I can't have K2 right now.
I really like IG86 power shot but I find that he calls for JE shitty grenade assit way too much :(
But you're right in this meta you have too one shoot one of the ennemy char asap (like wedge). IG 100 lacks of something ...

I'm running a Poggle right now (switching when I get Rex at 7*) and he's 86's best buddy for some reason. I appreciate that 86 is trying to help me get ability blocks, but I'd prefer he call 88 and the thing just die.

86 is much more random than 100
