No, they didnt sneakily change something to make it more difficult just for you. Same with all those assualt battle posts we get about people complaining about it 'suddenly' becoming much harder.
As mentioned above there were no updates overnight, and however neferious you think CG may be, I doubt they wanted to work super hard on tweaking the final tier just before the weekend to make your life specifically a tad more difficult.
Perhaps you switched mods around for GAC, squad arena, TW etc. If not, then take your loss and PLEASE keep us updated on your next attempts to let us know if its recurring. Make a video so we can see whats changed and provide us some good ol fashioned proof that they tweaked it somehow.
