I think you are missing the key word here in the name of the event, it's galactic CHALLENGE not galactic make x faction overpowered. It's not supposed to be easy, it's a puzzle you need to figure out. I sent a good 15 attempts using a standard FO line up and couldn't win, when I changed out echelon for sf tie fighter in the starting 3 line up it took me 2 more attempts before I cleared it.
Yes I was frustrated but it is the same as non fleet GCs where you usually need a specific line up. E.g in a sith GC complaining that you can't clear red crate with sidious lead.
I will admit I got frustrated, vented a little in my guild discord but after I cooled off, thought about the puzzle and changed my strategy I then cleared it.
