Make The Executrix's Ultimate Unavoidable.

I actually thought Tarkin's ultimate was bugged, if the first hit misses the rest just don't happen. But then my Guild Mates informed me that it isn't twelve attacks, it's twelve hits. One attack per enemy that deals damage twelve times randomly across the enemy team. In hindsight I should have realized that was the case much sooner.

Simply make the attack unavoidable. This is the Executrix's ultimate attack, why should RNG be a factor on whether it works? Ackbar's "Band Together" isn't X% chance of working, neither is Windu's "Convergence." So having's Tarkin's ultimate rendered inert by Ahoska's evasion up, is ridiculous.

I actually feel this would solve a lot of the Tarkin's ship is weak arguments. If me and other Executrix users knew that lasting long enough to use this attack was a sure bet, there would be less frustration, and more satisfaction out of choosing his ship over the other two.
  • Even if made unavoidable - you still need to get the enemy down to the 2-3 ship range. A 5 ships the damage is insignificant. At four ships it might show, but if you're down (because of Akbar's extra attacks) it's not going to change the tide.

At three ships, if you're down to 2, it's random, but now it'll turn the battle. (2 or less and the Executrix is aptly named)

I know one guy keeps popping on here and saying he managed to stay in the #1 spot with the Trkin... but 95% of people are playing Akbar for a reason. The extra attacks utterly destroy a target locked ships and wreaks a heavy toll on the Mace-Kloon-Taunt-Dance. The debuff cleanse ruins the extra damage for Tarkin and removes target lock in general. If Mace keeps count his ultimate stops Tarkin's ultimate completely.

And, really, there is only one Imperial ship us mortals can get right now.

TBH, I keep Tarkin shadowing Mace in terms of levels (which is affecting my power, I know) in the hope they do something.

Having fought both admirals with a few configurations and strategy Tarkin is just "up all night trying to get lucky"
  • If I get to the point of the battle I can launch Tarkin's ultimate and the enemy still has 4-5 ships, I'm not expecting to win. But I've had matches where it was my two remaining ships on someone's three remaining ships, I launched it expecting to turn the tide, and missed. It feels so much worse to lose a battle because of RNG, than being outclassed by an opponent.

Honestly I'm just trying to come up with viable ways of making his ship better. We can ask for a rework all we want, but I don't see that happening. From what I gather ships was a huge undertaking for the devs that took a lot of effort and man hours. Asking them for a rework on a Command Ship of all things, is too much. This change is small enough, that I can see them doing this.

Also I got the TIE Advanced and I'm very mortal, and a dolphin at best. It wasn't easy; and it was a truly awful experience, but hey I got the only other Imperial ship, lol.
  • +1 It's preposterous Tarkin's ultimate is rendered useless on a lucky dice roll. Even though I don't believe this change will be enough to make the Executrix viable on the same level as HO or the Endurance, it is a step in the right direction.

The change isn't meant to put it on the same level as HO or Endurance, just something simple that can be done without having to spend time on a rework.

Honestly though, now that I've got the TIE Advanced, his ship is pretty good. Tarkin, unlike the other Fleet Commanders, has actual synergy with his faction. So as more Empire ships are released the better his ship will become, where as HO or Endurance will stay on that same level.

With TIE Bomber coming in wave 2 of ships, we'll see an improvement on Tarkin's performance. We'll also be getting a Separatist Command ship for those that want a dark side Command Ship, but don't have or want Empire synergy.

Who will pilot the Tie bomber?

Ships in the game seem to share characteristics with their pilots; TIE Fighter having Foresight, TIE Advanced applying DoT's, Biggs having a follow-up, etc. The TIE Bomber from the datamine, applies stun with its basic attack, and has an AoE that inflicts Speed Down. That sounds a lot like Royal Guard to me.

Since they can't simply add a new TIE Pilot for every new TIE they add, they do have to pick from the existing Empire characters, and it looks like RG was picked for the TIE Bomber.

wow Royal Guard for the bomber would be sweet.

Will we be able to get new ships from some other method than these **** tournaments??

There's a rather sizable list of ships in the datamine, I doubt they'll all get tournaments. That said, Anakin's ship looks super powerful, borderline OP. I wouldn't be surprised if his was Tournament exclusive. At the same time, they've stopped re-running tournaments every weekend, so maybe he'll just be a slow farm like Slave 1 or Scimitar.
