Malak Event - 1 time or reccuring?

Can we get some dev confirmation as to if this event is coming back or just a one time event? (if you miss this, then you have to farm him 100% from the guild event store at a later date)

This seems like a "better" version of the MT/Wicket events.

So are we gain shards each time Malak returns or only 1st time around.
And can we play it again next time event launches?
