I did it with Ackbar leader (81, g8), Biggs (85, g8), ST Han (85, g9), Leia (81, g9), and Lando (85, g9). All with a mish-mash-hodge-podge of mods, but fully level 15 mods and most at 5* rarity. No Wedge, let alone as leader.
Use the Counter ability whenever it's available, with Ackbar as your leader it'll trigger an attack and you'll be able to counter the AoE Hell that comes down.
