they really need is a mod ability swap. For secondary only.
Say you have a mod with the primary you want but you want a different secondary
It has

But you want speed
You select the one you want to get rid of and it gives you 3 choices at random with different variables of those stats increased
Say you get

Speed
Flat prot
you can then pick speed
The reroll cost would start at 50/100/100/200/200/400/400/800/800 crystals
