Mods Discussion - MEGATHREAD

Dear god...changes are coming...

Oh I love this! This opens up so many possibilities.

Could this solve the problem with low potency on some of my favorite toons, for example Finn?

I guess in this as all things some people will find cookie cutter teams. But the thought that this could make many toons viable is a very much welcome addition.

Could you pls test this update out before you roll it out?

Thank the maker! A little touch of diversity, this will be like EVs from Pokemon kinda. Me gusta mucho!

All I see is adding more evasion and potency to ob, more damage to Rey, and more health to RG... rather than diversity people will just stack stats.

Im wondering how much this will change the upper lvls of the game, and how much of a chasm this will place even more between f2p and p2w players. Will we see a 200 speed rey with 20k crit and 40k health? Will they be equippable in arena or for specific instances like raid only?

I mean stacking stats is great if people want to do that but make a counter stat. Like add 50 damage but also minuses 2 speed. Or add 10% potency but subtracts 400 health. You feel? That way you have to actually think about it and stack at your own risk.

So ... will we be able to see other people's mods? Or are we just taking strategy out of the game completely now. Just roll the dice and hope for the best?

I am somewhat against this, due simply to the mechanics inherent in optimal play. Based on other games I have played, these mods basically mean:
- does any "mod" push a character over any important breakpoints?
• equip those mods
• else, stack the most efficient type of mod for that toon (in this game probably either a speed or crit damage mod)

Due to the random damage scale of this game and the extensive roster options (now, thankfully), I highly doubt we'll see defensive mods used to help push a toon past a health breakpoint.

I hope that I am wrong and look forward to another aspect of play. I'm just loathe to call this customization for any player looking to optimize their squad.

It's way too early to tell if this will be truth or not. Looking at the mod card, it displays a new stat "physical accuracy." We just don't know what will be modded
