I think the OP is getting a little too many dismissals for a pretty valid complaint.
Not everyone is level 85 and inundated with/matched up against the newest meta everywhere they turn. There are still newer people who are several metas or teams behind, and are facing these teams because they're not yet at the level to keep meeting wiggs. We might say 'lucky them' but the way the game arranges matches they're as unprepared for these teams as we are the chazes and wiggs. It's a never-ending arms race.
To the OP: what I can say is, stop all progress on the top 5 now and start going lateral, build up your counters to the teams giving you grief. The posters above gave a lot of good advice; hang in there for awhile and things will get easier.
...And then you can start griefing on Chaze. Lol
