I get what you are saying @Darth_Jay77 . However i highly doubt those numbers are an accurate estimation. that 48% of the total player base spend 50 dollars per week seems way, and i mean waaay too high.
And the f2p players and the really big whales are both effected by your proposition.
the whales will have paid way, and way more for the same 2 or 3 meta toons you would like to straight up buy.
the f2p have to face even more whale toons in arena from guys who arent even whales.
i think it will cause an imbalance in the game, catering to a specific group of players who are willing to spend 200/300 dollars at once for a toon, the rest is only effected negatively in one way or another.
