Question about enhancing mod.

What will happen if i enhance this 5B mod (purple, bottom pict) to 5A mod?
Will there be a chance that that "7" is upgraded to "8" when i upgrade the (will be) 5A mod to lvl15?

I ask because i dont want to waste resources.
I havent enhanced any mod yet.

Thanks.
  • He means they won’t be very useful once you get deeper into the endgame content, so it can be a waste of resources. There’s no expiration date, but Speed mods want a speed secondary (or primary if an arrow).

It is guaranteed to happen. Every time you “slice” a mod from one colour to the next, one of the secondary stats will improve.

The only exception is when you take a gold 5 dot mod to being a grey 6 dot mod, when what happens is all secondary stats increase a little bit.

    Oooo...i see...

So if i keep slicing my 5E mod (5• grey mod) to 5A mod (5• gold mod), it will eventually have "8" points?
The only problem is that i have to spend so much resources to do that, compared to if i get the 5A mod in the 1st place...is that it?

    Thanks for the info.
  • Speed mods without a speed secondary (bar arrow of course) have a limited life. I would work on other mods if I were you.

    Yes, fundamentally.

Thanks a lot. Your explanation is very helpful.

Happy New Year to you Sir.

What do you mean by that?
I have never known that the arrow mod with speed primary stat has a limited life (as in expiry date?).

  • Yes, as the 2 SWGOH virtuosos said above. If you think about it, you're taking speed mods to obtain as much speed as possible or (in end game modding) to obtain a certain speed for team order actions.

The point of a speed mod set is to obtain speed. However, if you're not gaining any extra speed from the secondary on the mod, what's the point? You're losing out on so much potential speed you're ending up negating the objective.

Its nice that we mention speed stats on speed mods because of the exanples used.

Darjelo has provided a link but i think its important that the OP understands how to mod attackers, tanks, supports etc and that speed can be counter productive to some toons.

Also its important to note that farming and getting mods to fit every role and every character (loadouts) can be so hard to do and thats why if you do it right then you will be better off.
