To be fair, Duncan is right... Ezra was always intended to be Ahsoka's lifter. The OP is crying over a moot point. The only issue I had was that it took forever for CG to finally notice he was overperforming under Rey and nerf him.
You think it took 2 years for them to notice he was too powerful - or rather Reys kit is too open? How much money do you think people spent to get to Ezra, bypassing AT and such, all the omicron and relics? They made alot by waiting and then they did what they did with a clear message that we haven't lost him, everyone just needs to farm to GLAT :)
Ezra wasn't the problem tbh, Rey absorbs everything. Change her kit. Ezra is still a jedi and deserves that tag.
You do realize it doesn't take money to beat Conquest, right...? As others here have already said, Conquest is more about time spent playing than anything else.
And if you are in doubt and miss Ezra with Rey, you can always take Zaalbar, the wookie scoundrel from the Old Republic with his omicron and use him with Rey in GAC for a constant taunter. Valid replacement lore-wise :)
