Ship Arena AI's Capital Ship

Is it just me or does the AI's capital ship seem to get 2-3 attacks per every one of your's. Also, I thought the capital ships Ult attack starts the match on cooldown. Well, playing a mirror match against AI in arena (even our crew scores were similar), their capital ship fired ult at the very start, and it had 2-3 attacks to every one of my capital ship attacks.

Is there some hidden mechanic I am not aware of?

    That is my guess also and the next question would be what the first move the Op used with endurance. The ai mostly uses the move that gives Valor. So if Op didn't use that then yup ai capital ship will be a lot faster.
  • Sorry for the late reply, I currently run Home One as my capital ship as ackbar is my best character of the 3 and crew power gets added to your ship power (also I run a lot of ships that attack out of turn for the Home One's bonus.

    Still though I have tried mirroring the moves as well and the enemy capital ship still seems to get its second turn 2 or 3 ships before me.
  • That's because of the Valor buff, which the Endurance hands out on its AOE and to its reinforcements. At the end of the allied ship's turn, if the ship ends the turn with Valor the Endurance gains 20% turn meter and its ultimate's cooldown is reduced by 1.

    Endurance is designed to be 2-3 times as fast as other capital ships if you don't start picking off ships right away to minimize the number of Valor ticks.
  • Ah, good point. If it's Home One v Home One, then either the opponent is running TFP, who is getting a lot of dodges, or their Ackbar is far better starred/geared than his. Or the opponent is running Plo and he's not.
  • It was a full mirror match, but you may be correct about his ackbar being stronger than mine. I have mine at 5* GL7 with a few speed mods on him, but I would imagine an 85 maxed out ackbar with good mods would have his team more the 1k power below mine.
  • You can see his Ackbar if you click on his Home One in the arena opponent selection screen. If he is higher gear level, higher stars, higher level and tier (only two things that matter) of mods, higher ability levels, and/or higher character level, he will be faster. But nothing would get his capital ship to take 2-3 more turns than yours; is that range fairly accurate or is it exaggeration?

    It may have been a full mirror match in the form of actual ships but sounds like it was not in the form of characters stats.
    What was the reset of the fleets? I suggest when ever you are looking for help in any type of situation please give the full team make up on both sides.

    Power is a useless measurement, certian ships like home one have over inflated power values.

    everything that you can spend credits and resources on a crew member will increase the ships stats including speed. gear, stars, level, ability level, mods all go into the crew contribution (crew contribution =/= crew power) which along with ships star level will affect speed and damage ability of the ship.

    mod types don't matter just need 6 mk5 level 15 mods to get the most benefit.

  • I try to never go against Mace. When I go against other Ackbars (or Tarkin), mine usually goes first and sometimes the other capital still does a normal attack after I've done ultimate. So there is no AI buff, it is probably entirely because of all the bonuses Endurance gets.
