Ship Kit Concept: Volt Cobra

Inspiration:
- Sana Starros's ship from the 'Doctor Aphra' comics
- Sana smuggled numerous items in the Volt Cobra, which gave the idea for a mechanic called Smuggled Goods, which works similarly to Wat Tambor's Tech.

Attacks and Abilities

Basic: Wing-Mounted Cannons
Deal Physical damage to target enemy two times. If the target enemy is Empire, attack a third time. This attack can't be Evaded or Resisted.

Special: Full-View of the Targets (Cooldown: 4)
Deal Physical damage to all enemies. If any allies have a Smuggled Good on them, this attack deals bonus damage. Volt Cobra gains Stealth for 2 turns if this attack scores a Critical Hit.

Unique: Smuggling Compartment
At the start of battle, or when called in as a reinforcement, Volt Cobra gains a bonus turn and access to the following Smuggled Goods in the form of abilities. When Volt Cobra uses a Smuggled Good, the target other ally gains its effects until defeated or the end of battle.

The cooldown of each Smuggled Good is set to max and can't be reduced if all allies have Smuggled Goods or if it is active on an ally. Smuggled Goods can't be copied, dispelled, or prevented, and an ally can only have one Smuggled Good.

Sith Artefacts: Gain 15% Turn Meter at the start of each enemy's turn, doubled for Rebel, Scoundrel and Cargo Ship allies. Dark Side enemies can't evade or resist attacks.

E-11 Medium Blaster RiflesRecover 5% Health and gain 5% Offense at the start of every ship's turn, and 5% bonus Protection and Potency if the ship is a Rebel, Scoundrel or Cargo Ship.

Data-Tapes: At the start of turn, recover 30% Protection and dispel own debuffs; Tanks Taunt while they have Protection.

Reinforcement: Slip By
Enter Battle:
Volt Cobra gains +35% Counter Chance and Evasion. All Rebel, Scoundrel and Cargo Ship allies gain +20% Offense and Critical Chance. Increase all Empire enemies' cooldowns by 1.

  • Pirate ships ARE coming - and this one is a good bet. What will the eventual pirate Capital ship be? Is the Meson Martinet large enough? I would like to see the Wild Kardde (and Talon Kardde)

    Smuggled goods works kind of like Wat’s tech? Would it be more on theme to let these smuggler ships “dump their cargo” which uses up a turn but increases speed, crit avoidance, and dodge?

    It's unique; and dumping the cargo sounds more like Han Solo, not Sana'a Starros
