The problem with a lot of these threads bashing GAC at the moment is assuming something is ‘ruining GAC’ because it requires skill to take out. You are not losing because of fleets but because you currently lack the skill to consistently overcome this particular fleet. I don’t think everyone’s used to needing strategy and are used to over levelling and trampling people. As the most powerful fleet even a counter using the same fleet will need strategy to overcome.
I underdog all the time so I have had to focus on people’s weaknesses and fleets is a massive weakness for a lot of players. And is a worthy investment. And a valid part of the game. To cut it out because some have not seen success with it seems unnecessarily reductive.
And investment includes learning kill orders and counters. When you get stuck on something, invest in your counter, if you still struggle there are loads of resources people share showing how it’s done. These players break down everything including what the AI usually do, comment on good and bad RNG and how much to level up to minimise the effect of bad RNG as much as possible.
Remember all the people back in like 2016/17/18 that would say "Ships suck/I hate them/I only enter a fleet battle once a day and retreat immediately for dailies"? I'd bet anything those are the same people today whining about Executor, and/or ships in general being in GAC (and if they're newer players whining, they would have been in that same crowd back in the day). They neglected it too long, not only underdeveloping that part of their roster but also not building up the same knowledge base of experience as the rest of us. So now they suck at recognizing threats, knowing how kits interact, understanding optimal kill order/ability selection, etc. Congratulations guys, you played yourselves. And rather than buckling down and working on improving this gaping hole in their ability, a large chunk of them just gripe and whine and say these things should just be removed altogether because they personally suck at them.
To any of the ship haters reading this: you've had almost 4 months of GAC now to learn if this is a weakness of yours. Longer than that if we're specifically talking about struggles with Executor counters. If it's not something you're good at and has caused many/most of your losses, there's not really an excuse any more to not be working on it. "Git gud" may seem too rude and dismissive to you, but at this point it's really the only response left that's going to help you. You need to buckle down, learn some of these counters, and get a bunch of practice with them.
