I've been tracking how many times I've refreshed the node, and I know how long I've been farming the node for twice a day minimum. The actual rate doesn't matter because I still don't have it 7* and I haven't missed any days on it.

Does it matter if I remember exactly how many shards I got every single day? I remembered that I refreshed the node once a day (so 10 spins) for at least 110 days (it was 144 days when I posted this and I'd been doing 15 spins a day for a few weeks before the first post, so definitely over 110 days of 10 spins a day). 1100 spins at 30% drop rate should have gotten me 330 shards. That's just math. I was still over 50 shards short.

It's less about the shards, (though that would help with more information about why the shards might be so low) and more about verifying the attempts. People bring it up a lot but it is very easy to convince yourself you have done something that you haven't, though 50 shards seems extreme as a loss, it could account for a portion.

Nah, even when I didn't farm any other characters I farmed that ship. Because I was noticing a lot of days where I got 0 shards and it took me almost a month just to UNLOCK the ship. So I knew, if I want to finish on time, I have to do this every day. But around the time I was farming 4 ship energy nodes and so even refreshing each node once a day was costing quite a bit of crystals, so I couldn't really afford to do 15 a day on any. It was when I finished Fives' ship and then Shaak Ti that I said, I can now farm B1 and Anakin's ship 15 times a day, and now that B1 is done I'm farming Anakin's ship 20 times a day (actually 25 times today, I got up to 200 crystal refreshes), and I'm saving crystals for any time shipments has shards in it

Shipments seems like a poor return on investment but I totally empathise here as although, yes, as we all know, drop rates are apparently the same across the board - my own personal experience of farming this ship is that it’s been a very unlucky node for me too.

I feel like refreshing is a bad choice.

Seems like its easier to just farm a 2nd character at the same time.

Like say Carth for the DR Meta team that was skipped.

Carth isn't required for GS, Anakin's ETA is. So I had to do what I had to do to maximize my chances. They were still pretty bad. I ended up just having to throw crystals at the node inefficiently, but I did get it so.. it worked out.
