Squad Tournament is Bad
Worst addition to the game. Not only is it extremely boring, but for that boredom the only people who actually get to unlock the character or ship are the whales who no doubt already bought him.
I gave the tournaments another chance because they changed the ally point ramp up, but it didn't really change anything in the end.
I think the main thing that makes this kind of tournament so much worse in Galaxy of Heroes than in other games with similar tournaments is that you can have a virtually unlimited supply of characters and the only thing differentiating you from the next guy (besides skill in placing mods and using the characters of course) is time playing the game which gives you more characters and more gear, and cannot be overcome by newer players.
So while Marvel War of Heroes or Star Wars Force Collection would give you one formation to use in a tournament such as this, Galaxy of Heroes says you can use all of your characters. The other kinds of tournaments were still boring, but not nearly as pointless and boring as this one.
I guess another reason is because in the other kind of games if I get only one or two of the cards out of 4 that I need to power it up to max, I can always trade for the other cards. In this game, if I unlocked Cassian at 3*, he gets to sit on the sidelines until some more useful way to attain him becomes available.
Please provide more content by varying the types of battles. Not by making a "tournament" out of the arena.
