The difference in the score is 3
So 3 points would have been a tie and the tie breaker is GP. So depending on your GP compared to your opponent you may have needed 4 points, not 3 points to win.

If your GP is lower than your opponent than you would have needed 4 points to win
If your GP is higher than your opponent than you would have needed 3 points to win

Thanks for the explanation. I didnt know it.

But, when i posted that pictures, i had nomore chance to fight him, as in i used up all my possible characters and his territories were all conquered.
I was very disappointed when i opened my tab and found that the guy beat me by only 3 points.
I could have been the #1....sigh....

I think, if i could keep 1 more character at "full protection", i could have won the GAC...

I can't remember how many GAC matches I won/lost by just one point difference. Banner pinching is quite common if you are facing efficiency players.

3 pt is actually a quite comfortable margin.

Not in OP's league.

Actually even where I am in low K1 that's not been very common in my matches.

3-4 points is just 1 fewer ship used, if you think about it.

Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. That's life.
