I did see that before posting, but as others said its kinda broken.
When GW changed I was in the low 50s and had most of my characters (12 of them) at that level, GW instantly became impossible. A friend of mine dropped alot of money on the game and unlocked every character and got alot of 7*s quickly, for him GW was also impossible. I decided to focus all progress on my favorite 5 (nightsister team) and GW gradually got easier and easier. Last week I only had a few opponents higher level than me, and now there are none. My friend also decided to focus on leveling and gearing his top team and has now been able to clear GW this week.
It was through this process for both of us that I theorize GW opponents are based of your entire squad power.
Seems like it might have just been a coincidence for you and your friend plus, there's a number of reasons why it might seem easier over time. I made an alt account and I noticed the level of my GW opponents was roughly the same when I decided not to win any arena matches for a few days. Then their level suddenly jumped when I decided to win an arena match (and my squad's power had risen substantially) so I do think what the dev described is working to some degree. For some, however, it is broken and so it's tough to really formulate any other theories until its fixed.
How do u guys know that guy is a dev?
