What are your thoughts about hording I'm starting to see a lot of people hording

If you want to be on top of the meta, you almost have to hoard. Once things are announced it’s too late, if you weren’t already prepared. If you don’t mind missing out on the newest shiniest thing, there’s no need to hoard. So it’s a matter of your priorities in how you want to play. I can’t do it, so I don’t. I miss things the first time, but usually not the second/third.

*hoard.depends on your needs. Doesn't make sense to hoard stuff if you are falling behind in other areas imo, but if you can, sure. No sense putting gear etc on toons you don't need/use

If you want to be successful in getting all the new stuff on the 1st try - yes.If you don't care about that and just want to have fun by upgrading mediocre chars that you like - no.

There are multiple ways to play the game.If you enjoy hoarding to quickly act on new information, good for you. Do that.If you do not enjoy that mode of play and prefer operating on income, spending as resources come your way to benefit from them faster, good for you. Do that.They both have their pros and cons. Hoarding is more likely to get you on top of the next meta, but if you don't enjoy that mode of play then it is not worth playing that way. Regardless, whatever mode you choose, don't complain that you're not receiving the benefits of the other, nor that you're suffering the drawbacks of your chosen mode of play.

Non-hoarding is punished by the game. Always was...

Hoarding is the way I play the game and I'll tell you it gets boring waiting to spend on something... and then you are always left wondering if what you finally did spend resources on was really worth it.

Having said that potentially another reason not to hoard is that CG can (and has) easily devalue hoarded stock piles by adding new Currency (Get2) or simply releasing a new bottle neck piece (Kyrotechs)

In real life- hoard. In free mobile game currency I like to make it rain like a boss.

What good is one character of a squad at g12 and the rest at 3* g1?

Always hoard your gear until you are ready to take the full team up to g12, then drop it all at once. That way if something better comes around halfway through your hoard, you haven't wasted gear getting 5 characters to g9 where they are useless only to start over again.
