I'm working for my first GL in JMK, but Wat Tambor seems to be holding me up. I'm in a very powerful guild with strong Geos (my geos are all GEAR XII but being upgraded; alpha has zetas) and I can't help but noticing it's taking forever to get Wat. And the same would be true for KAM should my guild ever do the Republic Offensive. Are the Genesis territory battles more difficult than the Hoth ones by design? The closest it comes is JMLS, who needs JKLS who requires Rebel Officer Leia, Wampa, and Hermit Yoda. However, Hermit Yoda and Wampa can regularly be attained in the stores and shipments, and Rebel Officer Leia is much easier to get than Wat because she's in Hoth TB and the game starts you off with the rebel pieces required to get her by default where all five geos need to be harvested from the get-go for Wat. I've been working on Wat for almost a year now (and he's only five stars but at gear tier XI). Anyone else sharing my frustrations?
Yes, Geo TBs are more difficult than Hoth on purpose. Light Side Hoth is the easiest of the TBs, then DS Hoth, then DS Geo, then LS Geo. KAM is going to be a bigger problem for you than Wat, but at least KAM isn't required for anything. The Wat mission can be done with G12 Geos, though higher is recommended. I know some people that have done it with G11 Geos with just a G12 or relic GBA.
The best I can tell you is good luck, and watch out for the very very rare packs that may pop up in the store for his shards. Do your best to convince your guild mates to work on their Geos to get that mission done - though that's kind of a hard sell these days with so many other more appealing squads on offer. You may be able to find a guild that is focused on getting Wat shards. People do move guilds for such things, though I've never been one to do that myself.
My guild is trying to finish up with KAM - we should have had him done years ago but my folks don't like to stream their missions and it's never been a requirement for us - so I do share your frustration. We have the advantage of also doing the Rise of the Empire TB so I can trade my GET3 for shards (they're grossly overpriced but I'm taking what I can get just now). Sadly it doesn't sound like that's an option for you.
